A good start begins with
clear information
Welcome to the Newcomers West-Friesland website. Here you will find information for parents and carers of children who have only recently arrived in the Netherlands.
Children aged four to six can learn a new language through play with peers in a reception class at a primary school close to home. Children aged six to twelve can benefit from intensive language teaching in the newcomer class, where they work on speaking, understanding, reading and writing Dutch.
